A prototype of a new generation of warship, the namesake of her class was once captured by Romulans during her inaugural mission, but with her unique Multi-Vector Assault Mode, the mighty ship was soon back in friendly hands. Serving in the final months of the Dominion War, Prometheus had since been involved in missions and engagements across the Federation and, perhaps most pivotally, far beyond Federation lines. Decades later, with her last major refit completed in mid-2399, and her latest shakedown cruise a deemed a success, Prometheus has been assigned a brand new commanding officer, a woman carving out her own legacy and with a particular skill set that makes her ideal for such a task as commanding the men and women of this technological marvel. Arriving at Deep Space 17 in late 2400, Prometheus is assigned with a deep space exploration initiative to track down the species responsible for the death of one of Starfleet’s finest. As the flagship of the newly formed ‘Prometheus Squadron’, her mission will take her far beyond the Typhon Expanse and into the unknown…
The trailblazer of her class in all of her glory, the USS Prometheus serves Task Force 17 of the Fourth Fleet, operating out of Deep Space 17 in the Beta Quadrant. Despite her age, recent tactical advancements mean Prometheus is more than suited for the complex missions that no other crew or ship are capable of, far beyond the red line of space previously explored. What she will find along her journey will test the crew to their limits…
