Meila sat on the bridge reviewing the officers requests, this was not common for her, she was usually the one making the requests.

Talat looked over to her, “Captain, you are receiving an urgent hail. It is from Task Force command.”

“I will take it in my ready room.” Meila said, getting out of her chair. As the doors opened, she couldn’t help but feel guilty, it really should be someone else to take the call and not her in Commanding Officer’s Chair. As she sat down, she swung the view screen towards her, and blinked in on, “Tris here.”

A familiar image from TFC appeared, a communications officer, LCdr. Tiselle, the communications officer on behalf of everyone. “Commander Tris, I have an urgent request, I want you to assemble an away team. Starbase 93 will be lending you a runabout, where you will be heading towards the location of the San Jose her CO was due in a day ago. This is concerning. The Powhatan will meet you and your away team there. Any questions?”

Tris was taken aback, she was familiar with these types of situations, but was weirded out by the fact she wouldn’t be with her ship. “None Commander.”

“Task Force Command out.” LCdr Tiselle said. The image of TF93’s emblem appeared followed by the emblem of Starfleet.

Meila tapped on her Combadge. “Dr. Jovan, Lt. Walton, Ens. Peacegrove, Ens. Grieves and Ens. Green meet me in the briefing room.”

As she left for the briefing room, she looked at the helm, “Helm set course for the USS San Jose. We will leave when Commander Lacroix returns. Sylvain with me.”

The two of them walked together to the turbolift and entered, she explained the situation, as she would have to explain it again, and again, and probably a third time for the ship’s log. She left Sylvain in command, but she wanted him in the meeting. So he could ask or answer any questions.

As the crew filed into the Briefing room on Deck 6, they seemed excited and pretty much an attentive bunch, no one had any questions or concerns.

“Very well, we leave now.” Meila said looking at the team. “Your equipment has been selected and stowed away in the Runabout for you, and we are to report immediately to transporter room 2. Any questions or Objections?”

They all nodded.

“Good Luck Sylvain see you in a day.” Meila said, “Dismissed.”
