Renato was sitting at his desk when the doors swung open. He smiled as you watched his first officer walk in. “Anything to report number one?” He asked her, eager to find out the sensors had indicated anything.

“Nothing captain, this is the Tal Shair after all and they are definitely known for their ability to cloak and  lurking in the shadows.”

“The one you can say about the Tal Shair is they definitely know how to lurk in the shadows,

“All we can do is proceed with our mission, and try to keep our vigilance up. Every second is going to count.” Renato suggested to his first officer.

“It has the entire crew on edge, even the anti-proton scans aren’t detecting anything within a few light years, but then again they might just be shattering us from a distance but just outside of the anti proton scans capabilities.” Mira suggested to Renato.

“I have considered that possibility too, however we can’t just sit around and wait for them to attack we still have a mission to do and supplies to deliver.” He said, as he handed her a data pad.

“According to Miss Chameer we’re ready to deliver our supplies as soon as we’re in orbit. I want us to go by the numbers, I want t lower our shields just long enough to make the delivery, that’s what I’m going to be most vulnerable. If they’re going to strike it’s probably going to be at that time. So I was thinking if we launched a couple shuttles and had them scan the area with anti protons just away from the ship and long enough to determine if there’s any Tal Shair ships lurking by.” Renato said to her as he handed her the date of pad with the plan on it.

“That’s very ingenious sir, I like this plan. I request permission to be one of the shuttles that goes and looks for the Tal Shair.” Mira said as she waited to see what Renato would say.

“That’s far too risky I need you on the bridge number one.” Renato pointed out to her.

“Captain I should be out there coordinating, this would be no different than if I was on an away mission.” Mira plan it out to him.

“You and I both know that a shuttle is limited and it’s offensive and defensive capabilities, you’re asking me to potentially allow my first officer to be killed in line of duty.” He points out to her.

“That’s part of command sir, and I know you know that and I’m grateful that you care about me enough to not want to put me in harm’s Way but at the same time you’re not really helping me sir if you’re restricting me to just safe missions. I should be out there, I should be leading this Mission personally.” She pointed out to him waiting to see what he would say.

“I suppose you have a point, I’m still not happy about this. But you’re right. Prepare a flight path and an action plan and then present it to me and then I’ll give you a go. You only have 3 hours by the book so I will start planning soon.” Renato said as the scene starts to fade away.
