Isabelle walked into the conference room, but she was followed by most of the senior staff. It was already clear that the captain was waiting for them, how much she had her cup of coffee and handed. She waited the others just quietly took a seat. 

 

“I am glad you are all here.” Byron said quietly. “We have a mission.” He took a drink from his cup. “We will be delivering supplies to the Romulan people at Talvath and our second part of the mission will be to try and flush out the Tal Shair. We will be working in a cooperative mission with the USS Paso Robles.” 

 

“Say what?” Isabel said, as she almost spit up her coffee, when she heard that they were going to look for the Tal Shair, that was a ballsy move she thought. 

 

“You heard me number one.” Byron continued. “We need to flush them out and send them on their way. Let them know we aren’t going to allow them to encroach on us.”

 

“Understood Captain.” Isabel said, as she immediately shifted her focus to supporting her captain, despite the fact the mission sounded a little crazy.

 

“I’ll make sure the engines are steady at one hundred percent.” Lila spoke up. “And will coordinate with operations if necessary.” 

 

“I’ll back up Ensign Davies, with any repairs.” Draven said, as he decided to chime in.

 

“That is good to hear.” He looked to the security chief. “Stella, I will need you to keep an eye on things.” 

 

“Nothing will get past me Captain, I will monitor all traffic in the area and the surrounding area. We will scan all communications in the area as well.” Stella advised Byron. She was ready to do her part. 

 

“Tolis.” Byron turned to the Andorian. “I may ask you for some fancy moves should things get rough.” 

 

“I have a few tricks up my sleeve, Captain. I’ll be ready for the Tal Shair.” Tolis said, with a big prideful smile on his face. 

 

“Let’s get to work then.” Byron said looking around the room. “They are counting on us. 

Any questions?” He looked around at his crew. 

 

“I want to add something, I am going to work with Security and have Stellar Cartography help increase our sensor efficiency, Captain.” Erica said, the Chief Science Officer for the USS Oakland. 

 

“Good plan.” Byron acknowledged. He liked how his crew came up with ideas. “Anyone else?”

 

The rest of the room was silent, they all waited for the Captain’s next set of commands. 

 

“Let’s get to work.” Byron said to them. He watched as they headed out, talking amongst themselves. His crew was working together which was what he had hoped for. Byron thought of how proud he was of them as the scene faded.
