Renato went to the mess hall, he promised his Wife, that he would stop by there and he would always be hiding in his room. He only did that for the first mission so he can make sure the mission report was correct since it was a very first one. He beat them the early lunch hour Rush.

“You made it, good cuz I prepared enchiladas for you.” Rosa said, and she motioned with her hand for him to join her in the kitchen area.

“I can’t say it enough, you’re too good to me.” Renato said with the warm smile on his face. He walked into the kitchen area.

“I never get tired of hearing you say that.” Rosa said in a teasing voice. She was sincere in the fact that she appreciated the compliment and that she didn’t mind him saying it over and over again.

“What do you think of the Paso Robles?” Renato asked.” He was curious to get her input.

“I always imagine you on a big cruiser, but there’s something nice about a California class starship it feels more cozy but luxurious at the same time it’s pretty big for a ship its size.” Rosa pointed out to him.

“At first I thought this was going to be just a ship I join give myself enough seniority and then request a bigger ship like maybe a cruiser but now it’s starting to grow on me. That’s why I was curious what you thought of it?”

“I can see myself calling this place home, but I’m pretty sure our logistical division is going to grow and since you are her XO I’m pretty sure you’re going to get another opportunity for another command.” Rosa pointed out to him. She knew he already knew this but she wanted to remind him nonetheless.

“Between us, I plan on recommending commanders Solwick for the next assignment if they’re looking to promote within. She doesn’t know it yet but I’m quietly monitoring her progress. I’ve been very happy with her service file, I’ve read her glowing reviews.” Renato explained to his wife.

“That’s very high praise from you, even though you’re fair with your crew I’ve never heard you meritoriously offered to promote anyone.” Rosa pointed out to him, she wondered why the generosity. She was curious what was in the Commander’s file, but she knew she wasn’t cleared to gain access to that type of information.

“Based on her record, and space what I’ve seen so far even though it’s only been a few days I’m very impressed with her. Of course it’s going to be a little bit of time before we get another ship in the division. So I’ll have time to properly evaluate her.

“Do you know what ship you guys will be getting?” Rosa asked being a little curious. She was being nosy, she couldn’t help herself. She like to know everything that was going on at all times. She kind of wondered maybe if she made a mistake becoming a chef even though she really loved cooking. But being a chef did have some advantages sometimes the crew would talk about some of the things going on that they wouldn’t normally talk to each other about. In her own way she was like a counselor unofficially.

“I don’t know yet, I don’t think it’s going to be anything brand new if anything I think we’re going to get an older ship. My guess is probably an old Constitution class Mark II, but I could be wrong.” Renato suggested to his wife. “We could get another California class starship.”

“Yeah I suppose it’s possible, here come over and sit down. Let’s eat real quick before the rush comes in.” Rosa suggested as the scene fades away.

Lira Chameer and T’Shan walked into the mess hall, the captain had left about half an hour ago and the early rush the personnel are coming in for the lunch time. “When you’re on the bridge you need anything about the mission?” Lira asked as she looked at T’Shan.

Both ladies entered the mess hall and started to go through the line, ordering their food once they completed grabbing their trays they headed towards a table to sit down and talk.

“So far there’s no survivors in the last I heard they away team was trying to disarm some explosives from the medical supplies cargo containers. But that’s all I know I don’t know if they’re successful in disarming it as saying no explosions I can at least say they haven’t detonated any explosives.” T’Shan simply replied.

That’s just rude, and medical supplies why would anybody rig them to explode?” Lira asked, she wasn’t sure if her friend would have the answers but it was more of a rhetorical question at this point.

T’Shan thought about her question for a minute. “To set a trap into here as many Federation citizens as they can. I do not understand their motive, but I’m sure they have their reasons for sitting a trap. They clearly don’t operate or think the same way the Federation does.” T’Shan pointed out.

“That’s a fair assessment, they clearly lack morals. Which is concerning in its own right.” Lira said in response.

“Their ideology is completely unknown to the Vulcan Science institute and to the high command so we have no comparison. We do have some of the Starfleet data logs to try to come up with a reasonable hypothesis but then again the accuracy of that report is questionable. We put it in about a 23.21% probability that some information is either inaccurate or incomplete.” T’Shan suggested to Lira.

“Let me guess that the margin is too high for you to make a proper formulated conclusion?” Lira asked knowing her friend was probably going to say yes.

“Affirmative, I need more data to draw a proper conclusion.” T’Shan sad as a scene starts to fade away. The two ladies continue chatting for a bit longer and ate their meals.
