Captain Reacher, initiates a covert investigation, but the situation escalates when a Romulan Praetor personally demands a closed-door meeting. The Healdsburg crew learns that Snow has offered Romulan officials highly sensitive intelligence about Federation defense strategies—information no ambassador should have access to. Meanwhile, strange energy signatures are detected in orbit around Romulus. A hidden fleet of cloaked warbirds is gathering, poised to strike at unknown targets. Now the Healdsburg faces a new crisis: Expose Snow as a traitor and risk shattering diplomatic ties instantly. Or play along, feeding misinformation to uncover the true extent of Romulan ambitions.
