Classic Gaming – TNG Trivia Time!

Description

A history lesson for you: Star Trek has had a long history in gaming, but not always successfully.

It comes with the territory. Star Trek is about peaceful exploration of the galaxy at large, whereas gaming usually is about shooting and action. With all the games that have been released, there has been twice as many duds as there is solid good games; for every Starfleet Academy, there’s Star Trek: Borg. In the 80s and 90s, this was doubly so.

For this competition, we are going to be reaching into this past and using one of the history of Star Trek gaming and learning from it. Star Trek: The Next Generation Trivia was developed by a fan of the game and released as an unauthorized game; when Paramount found out the game was sent out as shareware instead, an old distribution method before Internet gaming was available. The questions are solid and the gameplay, though basic like many of the games from this era, is pretty intense. In this competition, you are to answer the trivia questions and try to get the highest score possible from the game.

Criteria

  • Answer trivia questions and try to get the highest score possible
  • Paste a screenshot of your score at the end; the person with the highest score wins
  • In the event of a tie, the person that submitted their score first will be determined as the winner
