Ferengi Week: Biography Contest

“It’s always good business to know about new customers before they walk in your door.” – 194th Rule of Acquisition

Task Force 9 operates in an area that shares borders with multiple Alpha Quadrant races, but the Ferengi are our most influential neighbors in the area. Neither allies nor antagonists per se they have frequent trade relations with the many colonies that lie in this region of space. This wagon train to the stars has a huge cast of characters: avaricious Ferengi daimons, hardscrabble colonists, eager Starfleet officers. For this competition, create a character that you think would be operating out on this frontier, of any race or affiliation that you think would be interesting from a story perspective.

Criteria

  • Characters should be made on the BFMS, set to cameo, and published. Include a link to the character in your submission.
  • Characters should be newly-written for this contest, not currently-played characters, though you're free to do whatever you want with the character after the competition is over.
  • Biographies should be as complete as possible to give the judge a sense of the character's place on the frontier.
  • Entries will be judged based on creativity, style, and adherence to the theme, with special attention paid to characters that bring a unique perspective to the Ferengi border and TF9's frontier operations. Grammar and spelling will not be important judging considerations but will be used to break ties.
