Summary

Logan is a very stoic yet outgoing character. He can enjoy a nice conversation with a crew mate while transforming into a calm and decisive officer as soon as the need arises. He takes his duties and service to Starfleet seriously but is not without his charms on and off duty. His background and disciplined personality finds that he bottles up his emotions and does not find it easy to confide in people. Especially one’s he has not known for that long. He is a Starfleet lifer threw and threw.

Appearance

Logan is a very handsome young man with bright grey eyes and dark black hair. He has very refined and squared facial features as well as a smile to fawn over. He has a athletic build as he works out routinely and keeps himself on a good nutritional diet. He stands around 6’2″ and weighs around 185 Ibs, a above average size for a Human male.

Personality

Logan is a duty bound modern warrior in every sense. A practitioner of kickboxing and BJJ ever since he was a child, as well as a avid range shooter given his background as a country ranch kid from rural Texas. Whatever western charm, savvy and sarcastic humor you think this space cowboy might be capable of then you’d be right. And yes, he does have a accent. Starfleet is his lifes work and will be until the day he is forced to retire. Service has been his families legacy as far back as anyone is able to trace the lineage and he aims to be another proud cog in that wheel.

History

-Early Life-
Logan Thomas Walker was born outside the city of Austin as the son of a Starfleet cadet and human doctor. He was brought up on the family ranch outside the city under his mothers care for four years until his father graduated Starfleet Academy. Afterwards they were bound for space, living aboard the many vessels his father would go to serve on. This was not a first for the Walker family however. Indeed, the Walker family had a long history of naval officers in human history. Dating all the way back to Earth’s Age of Sail the Walker’s have served into the various navies of the world and later in space under the Federation’s Starfleet. His father was simply following his grandfather and the one’s before him. The same tradition young Logan would come to follow. During his childhood, Logan was taught kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and range shooting by his father as it was a family tradition. A way to find self discipline and confidence which built character and the skills provided by the lifestyles certainly didn’t hurt either.
His father instilled in him the honor, respect and loyalty expected of a future officer and Logan followed his fathers teachings religiously. The man was a mentor and hero in his young sons eyes. They would move from ship to ship, traveling all across the Beta and Alpha quadrants as they learned and experienced new things. Logan was able to see new aliens, cultures and even conflict up close. It melded him and taught him to be elegant in his dealings with others but also cautious and guarded. His etiquette would impress many as would his intelligence and care for those around him. He had a sister a few years younger than himself. Her name was Anna and Logan cared for her like an older brother should.

-The Academy-
When he came of age Logan departed his fathers ship, now a Captain of his own vessel, and was bound for San Francisco, Earth. He was headed to Starfleet Academy to take his first steps into his future life. He took his sister along with him as she planned on joining in a few years as well.
During his studies as a tactical officer, Logan would lose both his mother and father to the war with the Sovereignty of Kahless, both his parents being loss when the splinter Klingons attacked the Federation in 2389. This was something that would change his life forever. At first, he took to the academy with an almost reckless regard. His fathers teachings falling away as he partied and enjoyed himself without the restrictions of a starship stopping him. But after his father passed something changed in him. He became determined and diligent and was keen in his studies and intent on making his father proud. His sister joined up after him in his third year.

-Starfleet Career-
After graduation, he served on board a starbase for a year as an Ensign before catching the eye of the commanding officer. The CO was a close friend to his late father and saw in Logan a determination to succeed and be his best. On his recommendation, Logan returned to Earth and underwent the dreaded Advanced Tactical Training Course. It was the hardest thing he had ever gone through but the reward for completing it was beyond measure. He came out of the experience a Lieutenant Junior Grade and had the respect of his peers and even those above him.
He then went on to serve aboard the USS Lex, where he served as a Security Officer and met many of his current crew. All of which became fast friends having served together for years now. During his stint with the Lex, Logan would eventually become a Tactical Officer and serve competently in many battles. Earning him distinction as a capable tactician and a promotion to Lieutenant. It was during this time he started taking Command courses for a future in the center chair of the bridge and hoping for a command of his own one day.
After completing his command training Logan was transferred to another ship, the USS Erin. This time bigger and more advanced to serve as its Chief Tactical Officer and promoted to Lieutenant Commander. His time spent aboard the Erin were his better years. He met even more of his future crew and lifelong friends and bettered himself as a leader among his crew. Always serving with discipline and proving himself on away missions and during red alerts. It was during one of these skirmishes that the Erin lost her First Officer on a away mission. Logan, as the most senior O-4, was promoted to full Commander and chosen as the new First Officer of the USS Erin.
Now at the age of 32, Logan is a recently promoted young Captain and has been given his first chance at serving as Commanding Officer. He did not miss a beat in accepting the offer and is making plans to join his new crew before they set out on their next mission. He looks forward to selecting and serving alongside them. He just hopes he can live up to his fathers name.
