Summary

Kervar knew two things almost from birth. One, he wanted to earn a spot to be joined with a symbiote, and two that he wanted to join Starfleet. To that end he buckled down in school from the beginning. When most kids were at least playing and relaxing a little he was in his room pouring over texts on his datapad and studying ahead where he could. He graduated with top honors from the university. He liked to consider himself a well rounded at least academically. He held doctorate degrees in Exobiology, Unified Field Theory, and Quantum mechanics. Between that and his unyielding drive to be the best he blew through the selection process and was selected to join with a symbiote. After the joining he took a little time to allow himself and the symbiote to adjust to the new situation. After a year however, he knew it was time to carry on with part two of what he wanted to do. He scheduled himself to take the next available entrance exam. However, even with his advanced knowledge in his chosen fields he failed his first attempt at the exam as he was unaware of how much he would need to know in other fields of study. This only had him redouble his efforts and go back to his old study habits and research indepth into the various fields that he had seen questions on during the exam. After six months he felt he was ready and scheduled himself for another exam. He passed the second exam and hopped on the next transport to Starfleet Academy.
