Summary

Ensign Jacoby Walker is a newly assigned Ensign to the USS Columbia. Assigned to the Science Unit.  While trained formally in science he also was trained in Signal Intelligence, working under Starfleet Intel in a informant role.  This allows him to blend into any science unit while serving a greater purpose of protecting the Federation.

Appearance

Despite the fact of looking younger than he actually is, Jacoby has a distinctive aura that catches the attention of that of his fellow crew members and viewers.  Standing at a average height of 5’11” he has an athletic build indicative of his life growing up on a ranch and attending Starfleet Academy that his body is well up to the challenges of deep space travel.

Jacoby has been told his eyes convey a since of intelligence and curiosity, reflecting his keen observation skills and data mindset.  Whether he is scanning random data logs or deciphering complex patterns, his eyes revel a depth of knowledge and determination that fuels his mission at hand.

Personality

Jacoby’s personality is laid back and go with the flow.  Growing up on his family’s ranch, working was just as natural as breathing.  One didn’t quite because it was 5pm, most days ran until the work was done and then he was able to rest.  With Starfleet, Jacoby is finding it easier than home sometimes because of the shift work.  In his free time, Jacoby has been spending time on the holodeck.  The concept of the holodeck is fairly new.  While he knew of it, growing up if he wanted a story, he would have to read a book or watch something on a screen but never being able to be in the middle of the story.

History

Jacoby grew up on a ranch outside of Amarillo.  The Rafter R Ranch has been worked in his family for the last 100 years.  Their main source of time was cattle, but his father has been doing beans for the last few years on a plot of land they acquired for a neighbor who passed away during the middle of winter.  During his time there he was mainly homeschooled by his mother Elisa.  Jacoby does have a brother who is a few years older than him.  He joined Starfleet a year before Jacoby and went in under security, however his brother has been doing extra classes to transfer to JAG later on.  He currently is a Lieutenant Junior Grade assigned to the U.S.S. Serenity a Galaxy class ship.  His main focus is that of Criminal Investigations.  His brother calls them puzzles trying to be solved and solved correctly.

After his senior year of Highschool, he brought it up to his father that he would like to look into joining Starfleet.  His father was not onboard at first, only thinking that Jacoby was falling in the footsteps of his brother.  Jacoby worked his father for some time that he wanted to go to Starfleet to study interstellar, thinking that the skills could relate to some things at the ranch.  After convincing his father he finally gave his blessing.  His brother suggested that he join Fourth Fleet as well so at least his brother could keep an eye on him.

Jacoby’s first year of Starfleet Academy was mainly physical.  While working physical training, he was also taking college level classes that made him even more tired.  After the first year, it got a little easier as the physical training slowed but the classes in Interstellar Relations were ramping up.  During that Jacoby opted to skip bridge qualification, as he felt with his position
