Summary

Commander Rusander Brennos was the executive officer and chief of security on the USS Nighthawk. A stern and seasoned officer, he demonstrated himself trustworthy, reliable, and loyal, though not especially ambitious. As a security officer he always prioritised the safety of his ship’s crew, and as XO continued to represent them and their interests to his commander. This made him sometimes appear overly cautious, or even paranoid and more interested in hawkish priorities than Starfleet ideals, but those who knew Brennos reported otherwise. He was deeply committed to Starfleet’s principles, and so carefully choose colleagues and superiors he could trust to uphold them, while he helped shepherd his crew safely through the difficulties of doing so in a sometimes-hostile universe.

Commander Brennos was killed in action in the Battle of Izar during the Lost Fleet campaign in 2401. He, along with many of the crew of the USS Nighthawk, was posthumously commended for courage in battle.
