Summary

Ben has been in in Starfleet Intelligence since he graduated from the Academy, due to his scores and skill-set from the academy having made him stand out from the other cadets. Of course they still made him go through the exams, to remain in procedure but they had no doubt that he would pass. But fourteen years as an Intelligence Agent with a good solid record, Starfleet Intelligence Agency decided to reassign him to where he would be best suited and give him a change of pace, so they sent him away. Lieutenant Commander Jones is now the First Officer on board the USS Altai.

History

Ben Jones was born on July 22, 2363 in Louisiana to his father Kyle Jones and Hannah Jones. Honestly not a lot can be said about his childhood years or any of his years since growing up to going through school and signing up for Starfleet Academy. Nothing exciting truly happened in his life, aside from having a few girlfriends, not all at the same time, just each one not being the one after another. As he got older, he decided that if he cannot find the perfect woman to commit to, then he will simply commit to Starfleet.

He applied and was accepted to Starfleet Academy in 2381, where he spent four years of dedication and commitment to his courses, studies and exams were nothing but admirable. With that said, he was also a bit of a loner. He kept to himself, didn’t join in on any parties, didn’t make any friends. He was purely focused on one thing and one thing only, and that was graduating the Academy at the top of his class so that he can pick the best assignment. Well, in 2385, graduation day came and he absolutely graduated at the top of his class, but before he could choose his assignment, he was approached by Starfleet Intelligence who presented him an offer. They peaked Benjamin’s interest and even though he was informed that he had to take a standard exam, as procedure as it was, he was also told that they had zero concerns and knew that he would make a great addition to the team.

Thus, Benjamin has then been an Intelligence Agent since he graduated from the Academy. He had been involved in a series of missions that had him going alone into possibly hostile territory, in order to obtain information that was vital to Starfleet. In fact they did bring him onto the Mars Attack incident, and tried his best to try to figure out who was behind it and why but who ever did it was good and there was no leads to go on. So when the assignment went cold, they gave him another and another, all of which later he did well on. He gathered the intelligence he was asked to get and he returned back home safely to hand the intel over. Benjamin has been an exemplary agent for the entirety of his career, and as much as Starfleet Intelligence wants to keep him around, they felt that it would be best that Benjamin had a change in his career. They felt that, his years of working alone and keeping to himself has worked out well for him but as everyone else knows, Starfleet works best as a Team, so they wanted to change that.

Thus, Benjamin was then instructed that he was going to be reassigned to a vessel that his talents would be best suited for, especially for the mission that the vessel has undertaken. They felt that, not only would he be best suited on this vessel, especially with the information that Starfleet Intelligence would love to know about, but they also felt this would be good for Benjamin as well. Benjamin is now the First Officer of the USS Altai.
