Summary

Grisanick knows his true form gives people the creeps. He’s aware of the sideways looks and the panicked heartbeats that echo through the air into the tall peaks of his ears when he flutters down the corridor. He doesn’t really care. Unfortunately, the world of Starfleet was designed for the more common two-handed, bipedal crewmembers, meaning that many of his colleagues have only ever seen the holographic avatar of a humanoid Grisanick. Glimpsed sporadically in the rare moments he deigns to leave his quarters or the ship’s sensor suite, his tall avatar stands heads above his crewmates, another unsubtle statement of his perceived importance.

He doesn’t care particularly that he spends the time alone, finding many of his crewmates filled with innane chattering and a complete lack of respect for what is an extremely fascinating and important mind such as his.

Many would call Grisanick arrogant, self-absorbed and patronising, Grisanick doesn’t care.
