Appearance

Short in stature, Dr Allal stands only 5ft 6ins tall, but is indisputably the final word on all things medical aboard ship and will broker no challenge to that authority – not even from the CO.

She has the smooth dusky skin typical of the Saharan residents of North Africa and was quick, intelligent hazel eyes that sometimes carry mirth, sometimes not. She has a raven – black bob of hair cut with severe straight bangs.

Like most physicians, she is fastidiously neat and clean – a natural result of a career spent in clinical environments.

Personality

Nahila is one of those rare people that naturally put people at ease.

Open in manner and decidedly non-judgmental, she has a warm sense of humor and cannot abide cruelty or violence – often as she has to be the one to deal with thier dreadful outcomes.

Nahila is social, affable and gregarious – somehow knowing just a few personal details about every member aboard a starship with a minimum crew compliment of 1600 souls is no mean feat, but somehow the Doctor seems to manage it.

Nahila runs a version of the original EMH program, that she has served with as a Junior Officer and has formed a lasting and genuine friendship with ‘The Doctor’.

History

Nahila Fatima Allal was born to a large, rumbunctious and loving Muslim family in Salé, Morocco – so found the hectic nature of collegiate – life at Starfleet Academy a small adjustment as she studied medicine and graduated in 2384.

Joining the crew of the Norway-class light-cruiser, USS Hart, as one of the vessel’s Medical Officer – Nahila saw extensive service in the service of Task Force 72, as the ship supported the Diplomatic efforts of 4th Fleet.

In 2386, Dr Allal was assigned to duty aboard the Inquiry-class Exploratory Cruiser, USS Janaran – as the ship deployed to Border Protection duties along the former DMZ. Over this time Nahila has seen the very worse that the New Marquis and True Way can inflict upon each other and has become necessarily well versed in both trauma – medicine and disaster – relief operations.

In 2401, Dr Allal accepted a post as Chief Medical Officer aboard the Odyssey-class Heavy Explorer, USS Hikaru Sulu – unable to pass up such a prestigious position and the chance to manage a medical staff and facilities of such prestige & allure.
