Novra Wakra was born on Betazed in 2354 as the younger sister of Kabran to Jennaca and Tavran. As a child she was constantly trying to help her friends and family through their problems and was very open as a child. When she was old enough she opted to join Starfleet Academy with the intentions of getting her doctrine in psychology to help others further.

However, when she was nineteen years old the Dominion War broke out and she switched fields to focus more in the realm of tactical. That same year she met Ebrak who was in the same field of study as she had switched into. In 2374 they were married and Novra and a year later Novra was selected for early commissioning.

In 2375 Novra left Starfleet Academy at the rank of Ensign and was quickly assigned to the USS Khitomer as a Tactical Officer. She saw combat on three separate occasions during the war and served only until its end. The Khitomer then returned to her duties as a patrol vessel and Ebrak was later reassigned to serve aboard ship. In 2376 she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade for her actions during the war.

In 2377 Novra was pregnant with their first child whom they named Jami after her birth. Shortly thereafter tragedy struck the small family. During an away mission Ebrak was gravely wounded when an ancient weapon exploded killing most of the away team. Now, in 2378 Novra was a single mother but attempted to make the best of it.

In 2380 she was assigned to serve as the Assistant Chief Tactical & Security Officer and her daughter Jami was sent off to live with Novra’s parents for a short time. The ship went on a short expedition near the Romulan Border to explore some ancient ruins. After six months the ship returned to Betazed and Jami was again on board the ship.

Novra was promoted to Lieutenant in 2383 and was reassigned to Xavier Fleet Shipyards as part of the security detail. She served as the station’s assistant Chief Security Officer and her daughter Jami moved to the station with her. Following the Gorn attack she was injured and began to question her decision to remain in Starfleet. However, she was transferred again to the USS Onnar to serve as the ship’s Assistant Chief Security Officer.
